Tournaments Structure
The Liga Portugal is made up of 18 teams that clash against each other in a double round-robin. Meaning every participant will go head to head against each other, once at their home turf and once at the rival’s home level, this will lead to a total of 34 games that is played by each side in a season. The winner of the game will earn three points while a draw will get each side one point and losing results in zero points for the team. The highest scoring two members will book an automatic ticket to UEFA Champions League.
